Dear Supporters of Thundering Paws,
Once again, I am asking for your financial help. We have not paid November's rent (!), we owe Science Diet for shipping our animal food, and we owe both our wonderful veterinarians too much money. Of course, they both still see our animals, but we must do something to get them paid so they can stay in business to see our animals. We need money for the phone, electricity, trash collection, internet services: all the normal bills of running a business.
We have lost the services of a valuable volunteer, who is ill, and we are having to pay people to do some of the work. So, if you have time to come over here in the morning and do some chores, that is the same as contributing money. We need people who can scoop litter boxes; feed and water the animals; walk two dogs; and give the bunnies hay and water every weekday morning approximately between 8 and 9 a.m., and every weekday evening around 4 or 5 p.m. These chores take longer at first, but average out to about an hour a session, plus driving time, once you get the hang of it. We provide you gloves, masks, and everything you need.
We also are in desperate need of some repairs on the facility: paint, Kilz, new flooring, gutters and downspouts, work on our "cat run," the screened porch that kitties use in nice weather, and a few interior and one exterior doors.
Any amount you can send will help. You can mail contributions to P.O. Box 1555, Dripping Springs, TX, 78620. You can send contributions through PayPal. If you want to use your credit card but you don't want to use the web, you can put any amount on Thundering Paws's bill at Lake Austin Blvd. Animal Hospital, 512/474-8888. Or you could put it on our account with Science Diet. Call me to find out how to do that: 512/402-9725.
To volunteer, also call me at the above number, 512/402-9725.
I thank you for all your help in the past, and for what you are about to offer, because our volunteers and donors always come through for us. We have been operating on a shoestring since July, 2001. Our shoestring is longer and thicker than it was then, thanks to you, but from time to time it stretches so much it frightens us. It frightens the humans; our precious babies are never scared of being turned out into the cold. They are well fed, well cared for animals, and, as is our commitment to them, we want only to keep them that way until they find their forever homes.
Thank you.
